Caroline Rose is Professor of Sino-Japanese Relations at the University of Leeds, U.K. She has worked extensively on various aspects of the history problem in Sino-Japanese relations, and is currently completing a monograph on citizenship and history education in China and Japan. Her newest project considers the nature of trust and friendship in post-war Sino-Japanese relations, and is introduced in Caroline Rose and Jan Sykora, “The Trust Deficit in Sino-Japanese Relations,” Japan Forum (forthcoming, 2017).
