Marshal Grechko and the Warsaw Pact

Project Summary

Examines the Warsaw Pact security system developed during the tenure of Marshal Andrei Grechko, the Commander-in-Chief of the Warsaw Pact from 1960 to 1967 and then Soviet Minster of Defense, 1967-1976. Argues that Grechko deceived the West and much of the East about the actual missions and policies of the Warsaw pact.
