Expert Bio
Desmond Egyin was an Intern with the Wilson Center Africa Program's Stafford Capacity Building Internship. He is a current M.A. student in the National Security and Intelligence program at the Texas A&M Bush School of Government and Public Service in Washington, DC. He received his BA in History with a minor in Communications from the University of Connecticut. He has interest in Africa related issues, in the particular the growth of violent extremism in the Sahel region and Africa’s poverty crisis. He is also curious about great power competition in Africa. In the future, he hopes to do work that strengthens US-Africa relations and emphasizes the importance of Africa related issues to foreign policymakers.
