Full Biography
Dr Lamya Harub became the Energy Efficiency Lead in OQ Company (an integrated energy company in Oman). Previously, Lamya was a Diplomat for 10-years in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs working directly with the Secretary General on diplomatic, political and economic issues. Academically, Lamya obtained a PhD in Political Economy from King’s College London (2017), an MA Hons in Political Philosophy from Columbia University (2008), and a BA Hons in International Studies from California State University (2006).
Lamya is also an active volunteer in several charities and non-profit organizations. Most prominently, she is the co-founder of the Omani Academy for Special Skills, which is the first inclusive leadership and training program developed in Oman for people with intellectual disabilities alongside people with different abilities.
