Dr. Qais Nasir Rahi is a Research Scholar in the Department of Political and Strategic Studies in the Center for Basra and Arab Gulf Studies at Basra University. He is also an Academic Researcher affiliated with the Iraqi Center for Documenting the Crimes of Extremism, where he has published numerous articles on the archives of the Iraqi Baʿth Party, highlighting the need for Iraqi scholars to be able to study these valuable historical sources in Iraq. Dr. Rahi has previously translated the posts introducing batches of records in the Wilson Center’s Saddam Files series from English to Arabic, which have been published by the Iraqi Center for Documenting the Crimes of Extremism.
