Dr. Tobias Etzold

Tobias Etzold is a Senior Research Fellow in the Research Group for Security and Defense at NUPI. He works as project leader of the CLIMARCSEC (climate change, Arctic and security) project within the Multinational Capability Development Campaign (MCDC). Prior to joining NUPI, he worked as lecturer at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim and as researcher at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs in Berlin. With a wide study and research background in European integration and international relations, Etzold focusses in his research on the Nordic area including EU, foreign and security policies of the Nordic countries, Nordic-German relations, and regional affairs and cooperation (Nordic, Baltic Sea and the Arctic).
