Kara Struckman currently serves as a program associate with the Science and Technology Innovation Program, focusing on cybersecurity policy. She is particularly interested in software supply chain issues, implications of deepfakes, and the future of quantum computing. Previously, she worked in cybersecurity crisis communications at FTI Consulting, advising private and public companies across all sectors on how to communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders following cybersecurity incidents like ransomware. There, she also conducted extensive research on a variety of threat actors to guide communication strategies. She received her BA in Linguistics from Georgetown University.
