Expert Bio

Kateryna Iakovlenko is a contemporary art researcher and public program curator at the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv. Her current research interest is based on Ukrainian culture in the 1980s–1990s and explores women's contributions to and gender optics in visual culture. She is the editor of Gender Studies, published as part of the Donbas Studies Research Project (2015), and editor of Why There Are Great Women Artists in Ukrainian Art (2019).
