Kim Ju Hyung is currently a Ph.D. student at the National Graduate Institute for Policy studies (GRIPS). As a former economist, he is now working as a defense analyst. He has MA in conflict management and public policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and Seoul National University, respectively. His recent articles range from South Korea’s naval fleet construction strategies to the K1E1 main battle tank upgrade project. In general, he is interested in the tripartite security cooperation between ROK-US-Japan.
