Expert Bio

Lila Gasca is the Pro Bono Director of our Mexican offices, where she has worked with great success for fifteen years. Lila has been with Hogan Lovells since 2009 and is responsible for the development of our corporate social responsibility strategy in Mexico. She focuses on providing legal advice to various non-profit organizations and social enterprises, and manages the firm's responsible business strategy. ​

As a recognized leader in the pro bono sector, Lila has been a driver of pro bono activities in Mexico and Latam. Since 2018, Lila has been working to develop and promote the Pro Bono Mexico Standards, a national movement that seeks to establish the foundations, motivations, and considerations for standardizing pro bono legal work in Mexico. She currently serves as an advisor to Trustlaw, Centro Mexicano Pro Bono and Make a Wish Mexico. ​

​She is also an advisor for Mexico to the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers Latam, where she recently advanced her career in impact law to promote awareness of the triple impact: financial, social, and environmental to achieve sustainable change in the world. ​

​In 2015, Lila joined Hogan Lovells' international responsible business strategy.  She has successfully developed pro bono, volunteerism, diversity, equity and inclusion, wellness, sustainability, and fundraising programs.  She serves as Vice President of the Corporate Responsibility Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce Mexico. ​

She has also participated in several courses and corporate social responsibility programs in different areas in both Mexico and Spain.​
