    Full Biography

    Louis John Crishock is a career member of the US Senior Foreign Service. He holds degrees in religion (B.A., 1993) and sociology (M.A., 1995) from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. In 2017, he was a distinguished graduate of the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy of the National Defense University, Washington, DC (M.S., national resource strategy). Crishock taught sociology at Ural State University in Yekaterinburg, Russia (1995-1996) as part of the Civic Education Project. From 1996-1998 he served as the Civic Education Project’s Deputy Director for Russia based in Moscow, where he worked with Russian and international colleagues promoting educational exchange. He most recently served as US Senior Arctic Official (2021-2023) and as Consul General in Vladivostok, Russia (2019-2021). Crishock speaks Serbo-Croatian, Russian, and some Ukrainian. His hobbies include reading and jazz music.
