Full Biography
Luiz Valcov Loureiro is a professor of chemical engineering, an international education advocate, and currently Executive Director at the Fulbright Commission in Brazil.
Since 1986, he has been a professor of chemical engineering at the University of São Paulo. Brazil. He worked from 1986 to 1994 at the Nuclear Research Center of the Brazilian Navy. From 1995 to 2002, Luiz was Director of Programs at CAPES Foundation, Ministry of Education, in Brasilia.
During his tenure in the federal government, he conceived and implemented many programs to foster graduate education in the country, with a vital international component. Among the strategic projects he developed, it is worth highlighting the Brazilian portal of access to scientific journals, among the largest in the world.
