Expert Bio

After finishing high school in Milan studying the International Baccalaureate, Marco Borghi enrolled at Durham University reading International Relations. He graduated with a First Class Degree in 2017 with a dissertation on the ethicality of armed drones, later moving to the London School of Economics for his Masters in History of International Relations, graduating with a distinction. His NPIHP Working Paper, "Political Authority or Atomic Celebrity? The Influence of J. Robert Oppenheimer on American Nuclear Policy after the Second World War" (August 2019), formed the basis of his Masters thesis, written under the supervision of professor Matthew Jones. In September 2019, he will move to Belgium for an Advanced Masters course in Space Studies offered by KU Leuven.
