Full Biography

Miguel Angel Toro is a consultant and political analyst specializing in economic development projects. He is currently the Regional Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Government at Tecnológico de Monterrey (central-southern region). Previously, he was the National Director of the Government and Public Transformation Program at the same university. He holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, a degree in Political Science as well as studies in Economics from ITAM. He is a member of the Mexican Council on International Affairs (COMEXI) and has collaborated with various organizations such as the Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington D.C., and in Mexico at the Center for Research for Development (CIDAC), the Ministry of Energy, among others. His research interests revolve around Mexican politics, and the political economy of development. Since 2018, he hosts the podcast 'La Plaza de Toro' where he interviews experts on topics of political economy, sports, and entertainment.
