Full Biography
Monica Nuñez Salas is an environmental governance specialist. She is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Law, Director of the Environmental Management Clinic, and an Affiliated Researcher at the Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies at the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Peru. Her research focuses on the implementation of the law for conservation and development and the sustainability of Chinese outbound investments. Nuñez has international experience in capacity building; she has served as a fellow for the World Wide Fund for Nature in Beijing and as consultant for the World Bank, UNDP, and USAID projects in Latin America and South Asia. She has a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and a Master's in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Environment.
