Mouayad Albonni is an economic and political analyst with the Center for Operational Analysis and Research (COAR Global). He holds a Master’s in Global Human Development from Georgetown and his research interests include local governance, economic crises, war economies, smuggling and illicit trade, and displacement. He has worked with the World Bank, UNOPS, and Beirut-based research institutes and organizations responding to the Syria crisis.
