Full Biography
Neslihan Çevik is a former politician and scholar and the founder of Tr-Navigator.com, a political consultancy based in Ankara that helps non-natives navigate Turkey's political and legislative landscape. Her career spans politics, international development, academia, and the private sector. Previously, she founded a start-up company M-Line, catering to the lifestyle and clothing needs of modest Muslim wearers. She has also consulted Turkish modest giants and mainstream brands on modest consumerism and integrated marketing. Furthermore, Çevik contributed to policymaking on women and youth empowerment at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic Development Bank. She is the author of Muslimism in Turkey and Beyond: Religion in the Modern World (Palgrave Macmillan 2015). Her current research focuses on generational change, development, entrepreneurship, immigration, and electoral behavior. She is a non-resident associate fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia.
