Full Biography
Noor Al Zubair is a Junior Research Fellow at the Center for International Policy (CIP) and a research assistant at the Middle Eastern Program at the Wilson Center. Born and raised in Oman, Noor’s surroundings prompted her interest in the world of human rights and environmental change and development. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies from the American University in Washington, D.C., with a minor in History. Throughout her studies and research, Noor has concentrated her work on topics surrounding colonialism, climate change, and development, predominantly in the Middle East and North Africa. At CIP, her work centers on transboundary water conflict across water-scarce rivers worldwide, assessing the intersectionality of migration, water management, and geopolitics within the rivers.
