Pavel Kanygin

Павел Каныгин — спецкорреспондент «Новой газеты» с 2005 года; с 2019 года по март 2022 года главный продюсер издания. В качестве репортёра освещал российско-грузинский и приднестровский конфликты и войну в Донбассе. Лауреат двух премий «Редколлегия», премии Союза журналистов России «За мужество и профессионализм» и премии Андрея Сахарова «За журналистику как поступок». Стипендиат программы Paul Klebnikov Russian Civil Society Fellowship в Колумбийском университете в 2016 году, стипендиат программы Nieman Fellowship в Гарвардском университете в 2019-2020 гг. С марта 2022 г. — главный редактор проекта «Продолжение следует».

Pavel Kanygin has been the special correspondent for Novaya Gazeta since 2005, and from 2019 to March 2022 he was the newspaper’s executive producer. As a reporter, he covered the Russo-Georgian War, the conflict in Transnistria, and the war in Donbas. Kanygin won the Redkollegia Award twice and is the winner of the Award of the Russian Union of Journalists for Courage and Professionalism, as well as the Andrei Sakharov Journalism Award for Courage. In 2016, he was the Klebnikov Russian Civil Society Fellow at the Harriman Institute at Columbia University and in 2019–2020, he was the Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. Starting from March 2022, Kanygin has been the editor in chief of Prodolzhenie Sleduet (To Be Continued) project.
