Pavel Luzin holds a PhD in political science. He is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of History and Political Science at Perm University. In 2013-2014 he was a at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO), Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2012-2013 he served as an expert atPIR-Center (Moscow) and assistant to editor-in-chief of Security Index Journal.
