Expert Bio

Rachel Lee is a staff assistant intern for the Mexico Institute. She holds a bachelor's degree in global studies with a minor in sustainability from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University. She is also a recent graduate from American University and the University for Peace where she earned a dual master's degree in international affairs and sustainable development, respectively. Her academic background in climate policy — coupled with her professional experience in editorial work — has brought her to the Wilson Center to further hone her research, writing, and editing skills.

 

Born and raised in Arizona, Rachel has always deeply cherished her region's unique landscape. At the Wilson Center, she is interested in exploring how the U.S. and Mexico can collaborate on building resilience in the context of their shared environmental challenges, specifically regarding the Colorado River.
