Ricardo Márquez Blas is an independent consultant in security, crime prevention, and information systems. He has more than 28 years of experience in design, development, implementation and evaluation of public security, crime prevention, and information systems strategies and policies, having held numerous strategic positions in several federal law enforcement institutions. He previously served as the Head of Public Security Information Unit of the Mexican National Security Commission (CNS) for 4 years where he was the chief of Plataforma Mexico, an ecosystem of databases, technological tools and information systems for public security and crime prevention in Mexico. He also previously held various roles in the Mexican Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SE_SNSP). He is a PH D. Candidate at the School of Political and Social Sciences, UNAM.
