Dr. Sema Kalayçioglu

Sema is a professor of economics and Middle East studies at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey, where she became a full professor in 1992. At Yildiz Technical, Isik, Dogus and Bahçeşehir Universities she worked as the graduate dean, the dean and as an instructor. She has been involved in the academic councils, publications, activities and seminars of the Turkish Asia Strategic Research Center (TASAM) for the last 13 years. She gave seminars at the Harvard University Center for Middle East Studies in 2017 and 2018. She holds a BA in Economics from Istanbul University (1973), MA in Economics from University of Iowa (1977), and a PhD in Economics at Istanbul University (1982).
