Serhiy Kudelia is an associate professor of political science at Baylor University, where he teaches courses on ethnopolitical conflicts, terrorism, political regimes, and post-Soviet politics. Earlier he held teaching and research positions at George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Toronto, and National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine). He received a Ph.D. in international relations from Johns Hopkins University/SAIS and a master’s degree in political science from Stanford University. His articles have appeared most recently in Comparative Politics, Current History, and Post-Soviet Affairs. Dr. Kudelia’s current research deals with the origins of the armed conflict in the Donbas, where he has conducted extensive field research since 2014.
