Full Biography
Shahrazad Hired was a Communications Program Assistant with the Wilson Center Africa Program. Shahrazad received a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and pursued a minor in International Development and Conflict Management and a certificate in African American Studies. A first-generation Somali American, Shahrazad is interested in the role Africa’s creative sector plays in global entertainment and sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa. She is a 2020 ADCOLOR FUTURE and Co-Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Council at the Wilson Center.
