Full Biography

Sharon Weinberger is a national security reporter focusing on science and technology issues.

She currently writes the Code Red column for BBC Future, and is a contributor to Wired.com's national security blog, Danger Room. She is the author of Imaginary Weapons: A Journey Through the Pentagon's Scientific Underworld (Nation Books, 2006) and co-author of A Nuclear Family Vacation: Travels in the World of Atomic Weaponry (Bloomsbury, 2008). Her writing on science and technology has also appeared in the Washington Post Magazine, Slate, Nature magazine, Wired magazine, Discover magazine, Smithsonian, Financial Times, and Aviation Week & Space Technology, among other publications.
