Full Biography

Shin-ae Lee completed her Ph.D. in Public Policy at the University of Tokyo in 2022. Prior to this, she obtained her Master's degree in International Studies from Seoul National University with the Highest Honor Award, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Ewha Womans University. Lee has garnered professional experience as a researcher at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy. Presently, she holds the position of Research Fellow in the Security Studies Program at the Sasakawa Peace Foundation. Lee also teaches part-time at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, focusing on Japan's foreign and security policy. Her academic focus centers on Japan's foreign and security policy, specifically strategic communications, and the relations between Korea-Japan and the US-ROK-JPN.
