Expert Bio

Stephen Donehoo, managing partner of McLarty Associates, leads the firm’s work in Northern Latin America. He is also the lead on intelligence, national security, and defense-related issues.

Donehoo is a former military intelligence officer specializing in Latin America, who provided strategic policy advice on the region while serving at the White House, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the US Southern Command, and Army Staff. He is a member of the Pan American Development Foundation Board of Trustees and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He holds a Bachelor’s in philosophy from Wheaton College and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma.
