"In Search of Peace: Improving Conflict Prevention and Response Policies"

Project Summary

The project will ivestigate what role institutions can play in the prevention of radicalization and violent escalation of conflicts, with a specific focus on the post-soviet states. Investigating primarily why we observe peace in situations where we would expect to see violence, the project will, however, also identify and analyze cases which, experience violent radicalization but where this was not expected. It focuses on identifying ways in which domestic and transnational institutional frameworks can enable actors to solve conflicts peacefully and reward peaceful outcomes.
