Expert Bio

Vassily Klimentov is a SNSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute in Florence and a Research Associate at the Centre on Conflict, Development & Peacebuilding at the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID). He holds a PhD in International History from IHEID. His book on the Soviet-Afghan War will be published by Cornell University Press/ North Illinois University Press in February 2024.
