Full Biography

Chris Maloney is the Senior Director for Strategy and Business Development at the Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL) at the UN Foundation. DIAL is a “think, do, replicate” tank focused on accelerating digital inclusion worldwide. Prior to DIAL, Mr. Maloney was Assistant to the Administrator in the Bureau for Policy, Planning, and Learning at USAID, as well as Acting Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Africa. He led the development and implementation of the Agency’s “Journey to Self-Reliance” strategic approach. Mr. Maloney also spent five years at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, where he was Managing Director for Country Selection and Eligibility, and five years with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on agriculture, mining, and pharmaceutical clients across Africa. Mr. Maloney holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPA in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a BA in Economics and African/African-American Studies from Stanford University.
