Laura Haro Ramírez

Laura Haro Ramírez is the Coalición Fuerza y Corazón por Jalisco (Strength and Heart Coalition for Jalisco) candidate for the governorship of Jalisco. Born in Mazamitla, Jalisco, she holds a law degree from Universidad de Guadalajara and a master’s degree in Social Intervention from Universidad la Rioja. She practiced law from 2005 until 2010. From 2010 until 2012, she served as coordinator of strategic projects and social development for the city council of Zapopan, a municipality in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. From 2012 until 2015, she served as a member of the Zapopan City Council. Upon the conclusion of her term, she ran for a local deputyship, but lost the election. She subsequently served as the director of CONALEP (Colegio Nacional de Educación Profesional Técnica), a national public educational system focused on technical and vocational training for high school students, in Zapopan. She was later elected to serve as the national director for the PRI’s youth network in Mexico, a position she held until 2019 when she was then appointed as the PRI’s Civil Society Liaison Secretary. She was elected federal deputy in 2021.
