NKIDP welcomes Public Policy Scholar Seuk Ryule Hong to the Wilson Center
NKIDP is pleased to welcome Seuk Ryule Hong to the Wilson Center as a Public Policy Scholar. Hong will be in residence through August 2013, researching United States-North Korea relations during the Cold War.
Seuk Ryule Hong is Associate Professor of the Department of History at Sungshin Women's University in Seoul. Professor Hong holds a Ph.D. in Korean History from Seoul National University. He was formerly a visiting Researcher at the University of Maryland at College Park from 1999-2000. He specializes in the modern history of Korea, and specifically, U.S.-ROK and inter-Korean relations during the Park Chung Hee Administration.

The North Korea International Documentation Project serves as an informational clearinghouse on North Korea for the scholarly and policymaking communities, disseminating documents on the DPRK from its former communist allies that provide valuable insight into the actions and nature of the North Korean state.
