Expert Bio

Joey recently received his B.A. in Latin America and Hemispheric Studies from The George Washington University. Prior to joining the Latin American Program, Joey interned at the Asian Studies department at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). In addition, he studied abroad in Santiago, Chile. During his time there, he interned at the Fundación Sol, where he looked into Chinese investment in the country’s infrastructure. His research interests include political economy, renewable energy, digitalization in commerce, and Sino-Latin America relations.
