Full Biography
Metis Meloche is a Product Manager with the Science Technology and Innovation Program, working primarily on research and technology development projects such as Earth Challenge 2020 which is the world’s largest coordinated citizen science campaign to date. Metis works with STIP on technical project management and implementation, ranging from strategy and requirements analysis to data cleaning and analysis support. Her role, unique at the Wilson Center, allows her to conduct research into different subject areas while helping create the technologies required to facilitate new research. Previously, she worked at the National Environmental Modelling and Analysis Center, conducting analysis on environmental vulnerabilities and strategies for resilience. Her professional interests include open-data, science accessibility and ways to better understand the intersection of environmental and human well-being. She received her bachelor's degrees in both Economics and Environmental Studies (Global Health focus) from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
