Mandana Zandian on the Power of Words as a Form of Activism in Iran
Dr. Mandana Zandian, an Iranian poet and literary critic, shared her reaction to the women- and youth-led protests that have swept Iran for nearly two months. Dr. Zandian discussed the history of poetry and art as a form of non-violent protest against the Islamic Republic, in addition to role of the Iranian diaspora in elevating the voice of the women and men in Iran.
